Description
Maria Calo was thirty-three when her husband, Geoffrey, died tragically from a brain tumour.
This memoir, Imaginary Letters, is literally that: a collection of more than fifty poignant, profound, heartfelt, often unbearably moving letters Maria wrote to Geoffrey after his death.
Geoffrey can never read them… but you can.
Imaginary Letters will change how you think about life, death and love. They remind us, forever, that true love never dies.
About the Author:
Maria Calo was born in 1982 in Bucharest, Romania. As she says:
‘I first became fascinated with writing when I discovered the lyrics of the Canadian-born French singer/songwriter Mylene Farmer. Her work, in particular the song “Désenchantée”, changed my life. She remains my main influence.’
Maria adds:
‘I couldn’t not write Imaginary Letters. I saw it as an essential task, and the six months I spent writing the book were among the deepest, happiest and saddest of my life so far.’
